Every crisis is a crisis of the imagination; is a failure to imagine other, better worlds and to act accordingly - this also applies to the climate crisis. But how can we overcome our existing imaginations, which have become so firmly embedded in our collective consciousness through tradition, culture and ideology, and which have contributed to the ecological crisis?
Anna-Luise Lorenz seeks answers to this question in speculative scenarios with young people.
In "Control-Z" the Berlin artist takes the participants* of her lab module on a journey into the past. The year is 1990 and the world seems to have come to an end several times in the past. In 30 years, it will happen again. But whereas we used to have to face the end of the world as outsiders, we are now right in the middle of the action.
As part of a political COMMITTEE, we set out for a week to save nothing less than the world from the event. In doing so, we harness the hidden superpowers of technologies, products and inventions. We disassemble our seemingly harmless devices and reassemble them for a better world by unlocking the hidden world-saving potential of ghetto blaster, TikTok & 29 years left - will we make it in time?
More information about the lab will follow in the course of the next months. The Lab is currently being developed and will take place in April 2021 as part of the Digitale Welten Festival.

In a first joint session at the beginning of April, the basics will be taught and a common approach will be discussed.
