By establishing the GreenHouse NAXOS, NODE20 and studioNAXOS open a 3D replica of the Naxoshalle based on Mozilla Hubs - as a virtual greenhouse for ideas, a digital laboratory and the first visual realization of the NATURTHEATER NAXOS.
The open, video game-like space invites all Lab participants to experiment with a cultural space of the future, to change architecture, plant it virtually and build the theater space of their dreams. Visitors to the GreenHouse can move freely as avatars, communicate with each other, formulate suggestions and wishes for a new design and actually implement them virtually.
At the same time, artistic experiments are already taking place during NODE20 that explore the limits of the (virtual) theater space. In addition to meetups on topics such as dance and technology, the virtual GreenHouse offers a teens hackspace as well as workshops and installations that take a look at sustainable artistic practices, activism, new hybrid art, performance and theater forms.

In Frankfurt's Naxoshalle, a walk-in greenhouse is once again being built on site, which houses a VR installation by the artist Gloria Schulz. The interactive installation takes up the theme of transformation again and connects the analog space of the Naxoshalle with the digital GreenHouse.

The GreenHouse NAXOS is a project of the NODE Forum for Digital Art 2020 within the Second Nature Lab in cooperation with studioNAXOS and a digital replica of the NATURTHEATER NAXOS.
The NATURTHEATER NAXOS is based on an idea by Jan Philipp Stange, realized with Simon Möllendorf and Jakob Engel, co-produced by Stange Produktionen, Dorfproduct and studioNAXOS with the support of Theater Willy Praml, made possible in part by funds from the multi-year funding of the Kulturamt der Stadt Frankfurt and Bundeskulturstiftung.
